My main aim is to express feeling through colour, line, composition, texture and gesture. Both accident and chance play a big part in this process.
Painting over previous efforts provides me with an armature on which to work – sometimes leaving traces of the original. Allowing the paint to take the lead, whilst also arresting control provides a narrative , a reflection of my inner journey, which I hope the viewer can connect with.

Following a long career producing and directing TV Arts Programmes, I have returned to my first love of painting.
