Catching The Moment  – Group Exhibition
Winns Gallery June 20th – 27th – Private View 27th June.

Follow the paint.

Last year I worked on  large scale abstracted portraiture *~this year I’m concentrating  on these  small abstract squares often over painting other works, enjoying a kind of archeology of gestures.

I’m mostly interested in the process – the push  of letting go being I the moment and the pull the more conscious response to what happens in the space.  the way paint works colour to colour smooth to rough random paint moments  Letting my self free in a place of ambiguity and feeling.

I always hope to surprise myself, following the paint, not rules.

And then hope the work will  resonate.
